The best spots in Paros, include Golden Beach and New Golden Beach, Santa Maria on the northern side of the island and Pounda Bay on the side of Parikia. Many windsurfing and kitesurfing centres are based on these beaches so that visitors can take courses for all levels or rent the proper equipment. Occasionally some world windsurfing competitions are organized in these beaches.
