It was founded in 408 BC and it consists of the fortified mediaeval (old) town, and the new town which includes older, neoclassical and modern buildings.
Take a trip to Kallithea, a beautiful area in the north and visit Koskinou, a listed traditional village with colorful houses, decorated with ceramic plates and hand-woven fabrics, after the local style. DAILY ITINERARY

Day 1
ARRIVAL IN RHODES
Arrive in Rhodes airport where you will meet your driver for your private transfer at the airport’s arrivals section, to take you to your hotel. Settle in your room and get some rest. In the evening, we suggest you take a walk through the picturesque alleys of the old fortified Mediaeval City of Rhodes, which is inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.
Stroll around the Street of the Knights of Rhodes, the imposing street that leads to the Palace of the Grand Master, which stands out because of its imposing entrance and exquisitely well-preserved towers and battlements. Enjoy the sunset drinking a cocktail in one of the mediaeval town’s bars.

Day 2
ANTHONY QUINN BAY
After your breakfast in your hotel, head over to the Anthony Quinn’s bay. With its enchanting emerald waters and the surrounding tall pines, it is reminiscent of a vintage postcard, Anthony Quinn bay won the heart of the movie star actor. This small picturesque cove beach has become an attraction for many tourists and famous visitors as several scenes of the well-known movie “The Guns of Navarone” were filmed there.
In the afternoon, you can go for a walk in Mandraki Port, the small harbour graced by two deer statues, where according to the myth lies the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. See also the nearby marina, the Windmills, and Saint Nicholas Fortress.

Day 3
BEACH DAY & WATER SPORTS
Time for leaving your comfort zone and enjoy water sports in the ideal beach. Ixia is a seemingly endless, crystal-clear beach, especially-loved by windsurfing enthusiasts, as well as divers due its beautiful and extremely rich seabed. It offers many options such as beach bars, sunbeds and places to rent the essentials for water sports.
After a long day by the beach, it is playtime. We suggest to play Mini Golf next to Ixia beach where you can have fun with your friends, or just relax at a beach club by the beach till late evening as plenty of parties take place everyday on the beach.

Day 4
SYMI CRUISE DAY
Today we strongly recommend to leave behind the island of Rhodes for a Full-Day Cruise to visit one of the most traditional and colourful islands in the Aegean Sea, the island of Symi. Entering the little harbour of Symi you will be amazed by the colourful houses, the many private sailing boats and yachts.
You will have approximately 3,5 hours of free time for your visit. Feel the authentic atmosphere, have a casual walk through the port or get the fun train for a great drive through Symi town. Go for a swim and enjoy a nice meal in one of the many sea-front taverns.

Day 5
THE VALLEY OF BUTTERFLIES – WINE TASTING TOUR – ANIMAL FARM OF RHODES
For today, we strongly recommend you participate in a Private Tour, starting in the renowned Valley of the Butterflies. The valley is a must-visit area located near Theologos village. It sounds like a dreamy place and truly is! Your private transfer will take you from your hotel to reach the valley. There you will enjoy the amazing views of millions of butterflies which appear at that time. Make sure you also visit the nearby small Museum of Natural History. After the visit at the Valley of Butterflies you can continue your private tour and go to a local Wine Estate visit for wine-tasting which is included in your package.
Want to get close and personal with animals? After your private tour finishes you can visit the Animal Farm of Rhodes Petting Zoo, only 1.5 km from Valley of the Butterflies! You can play, feed or take a selfie with your favourite furry friend. In this one-of-a-kind attraction in Rhodes, visitors can come close enough to many animals like Lemurs, Ostriches, and Camels! If you like being with animals, then you will be excited with the llamas, kangaroos, ponies, deers, camels, and many more.

Day 6
KALLITHEA SPRINGS – VILLAGE OF KOSKINOU
Enjoy your rich breakfast in your hotel and get ready to go to Kallithea bay. Kallithea Springs or Kallithea Therme is perhaps one of the most beautiful locations on Rhodes island. Crystal-clear blue waters make swimming and diving an absolute pleasure in the summer heat. The gardens provide spacious areas filled with shade and unique air quality.
Before going back to your hotel, you should visit the nearby village of Koskinou, where you will admire the distinctive, colourful architecture with houses painted in bright greens, blues, and reds. As the sun goes down, enjoy few drinks in Alter Ego Summer, a club with also a restaurant in a 15th century mansion, in the Medieval City of Rhodes.

Day 7
RHODES – ATHENS
Enjoy your last moments relaxing in your hotel in Rhodes or take a walk and enjoy some gelato in the old town’s alleys once more. Your private transfer will take you at Rhodes airport to catch your flight to Athens, with the best memories from “The Island of the Knights”.
