DAILY ITINERARY

• Day 1

  Arrival in Lima, Capital of Peru​

  Departure from Athens airport to Lima airport. After collecting your bags, the driver will pick you up from arrivals holding a sign with your name, and he will take you to your hotel. The journey will take approximately 1 hour, depending on traffic. Check-in at a luxury 5* hotel and dinner. Rest for the day.​

  Your magical adventure is just about to start!​

• Day 2

  Exploring Lima​

  After breakfast at the hotel, you can stroll through the enchanting Park of Love, and continue for lunch at one of the beautiful restaurants, such as “Central”, no.2 on the list of the 50 best restaurants in the world. Afterwards you can visit the Larcomar shopping center to explore the unique shops selling local and non-local products. Finally, you can go for dinner at “Maido”, No.11 on the list of the world’s 50 best restaurants with Nikkei cuisine.

• Day 3

  Cusco – Sacred Valley​

  Good morning! Time to explore Peruvian culture deeper. After having breakfast and checking out from the hotel, our driver will be waiting for you at the hotel entrance to take you to the airport to take your flight to Cusco. There, you will be met by our driver who will take you to the luxurious 5* hotel to check-in. During the route you will enjoy the picturesque and amazing landscapes of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Rest for the night. ​

• Day 4

  Free Day of Cusco exploration

  Free day for exploration of Cusco!

  After you take your breakfast at your hotel. Take the time to explore at your own pace, shoot amazing photos, eat at local restaurants and feel the vibe of the city!

• Day 5

  MAGICAL MACHU PICCHU​

  The day has come when you will see up close that Machu Picchu is indeed real! After having breakfast at the hotel and checking out, your driver will be waiting for you at the hotel entrance to take you to Poroy train station to board the Haram Bingham train for Machu Picchu. On the train you will eat your meal and enjoy the magnificent view of the land of the Incas, from the panoramic windows of the train and you will feel as if you are part of this beautiful landscape. The train has beautiful panoramic windows, which will give you beautiful views and photo opportunities as you travel through the land of the Incas in search of Machu Picchu. With the glass surrounding you from all sides, you will feel like you are a part of the majestic landscape of Peru.​

  Upon arrival at the Aguas Calientes train station, you will take the bus to Machu Picchu where your certified guide will be waiting for you to begin your private tour. After checking in to Sanctuary Lodge, an elegant retreat located steps away from Machu Picchu, you can enjoy your afternoon tea there, overlooking the archaeological site, in an environment of innate peace.​

• Day 6

  MACHU PICCHU​

  Having enjoyed the magnificent archaeological site the previous day and having rested in the comforts of your hotel, you can enjoy your breakfast at the hotel, next to this holy land. Today, you will have the opportunity to hike Mount Huayna Picchu or Mount Machu Picchu (both subject to availability). From there, you will enjoy the amazing view of the surrounding area and the magical lost city. Both hikes have a high degree of difficulty and are only recommended for travelers who are familiar with heights and have a good level of fitness. A considerable amount of climbing time is required (about 2.5 hours for Mount Huayna Picchu and 3.5 hours for Mount Machu Picchu). Please let us know if you are interested. Or you can simply relax at the hotel and continue exploring the magnificent citadel of Machu Picchu. Later, you will check-out and depart for Machu Picchu station for Cusco. After this beautiful ride, you will arrive at Poroy station, where your driver will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel to check in and enjoy the rest of the day.​

• Day 7

  ANDREAN EXPLORER– PUNO – LAND OF PERU​

  Another beautiful day awaits you. After having breakfast and checking out from the hotel, it’s time to start your journey to the beautiful Lake Titicaca, on the Andrean Explorer train from Cusco’s Wanchaq Station. You will travel among the highest plains of the Andes to reach the reflective beauty of Lake Titicaca. Inside the train you can enjoy your meal and afternoon tea admiring the beautiful scenery that will surround you all the way. Later you can head to the Piano Bar carriage, where they serve Cocktails and Canapes, and you can also have your dinner. The train will stop at the Puno – Lake Titicaca station, and you will spend the night on the train. You’ve just arrived at another amazing destination!​

• Day 8

  ANDREAN EXPLORER– LAKE TITICACA

  Don’t miss the opportunity to have breakfast on the train, watching the sunrise on Puma Mountain! That’s what Titicaca means, said to be the birthplace of the Incas! After breakfast you will depart by boat to the floating islands of Ouros. The Uru natives belong to a small group that once coexisted on Lake Titicaca with the Incas, Aymaras, and possibly even older civilizations. Enjoy your lunch on the train and it’s time to depart for Lake Saracocha. Pre-dinner cocktails and Canapes are served in the train carriage until you reach Lake Saracocha. Once you arrive and depending on the weather and season, you can observe the various constellations in the Peruvian night sky. Rest and overnight so you are ready for another day!​
  

• Day 9

  SUMBAY CAVES – COLCA CANYON – RETURN

  Good morning! After breakfast on the train, it’s time to enjoy the magnificent lake, a perfect place to see and learn about the area’s fauna, especially the unique birds. Together with your expert guide you will visit the Sumbay Caves, home to over 500 ancient carvings of local wildlife, including herds of Guanaco, a relative of the llama, that still live in the high mountains of Peru.​

  You will then continue your journey to the spectacular Colca Canyon and disembark to explore the world’s deepest canyon on your own. Later, you will have your meal on the beautiful train until you arrive in Arequipa, where you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight. Parting from this extraordinary jewel of South America that has offered you everything you love about travel: timeless traditions, vibrant cultures and wild landscapes, will be difficult.​

  The return to your home will be filled with vivid images, memories and certainly many stories to tell our friends! Maybe it still seems like a dream, but it came true, and this experience will always be in your soul!​
