Chania is a city on the northwest coast of the Greek island of Crete. It’s known for its 14th-century Venetian harbour, narrow streets and waterfront restaurants. At the harbour entrance is a 16th-century lighthouse with Venetian, Egyptian and Ottoman influences. Opposite, the Nautical Museum has model ships, naval objects and photographs. The former monastery of St. Francis houses the Archaeological Museum of Chania. You can see that the Venetian, Turkish, traditional and modern architecture coexist in harmony in the city of Chania, creating a unique and attractive scenery for the visitors. Archaeological sites, temples, squares, and unique buildings adorn the attractive city of Chania. There are many small shops where you can buy leather goods, ceramics, traditional knives or watch the making of them. Visit the Municipal Market of Chania and buy local honey, herbs, cheese and olive oil.
The night life in Chania is simply spectacular and intense. Whether you are a fan of rock, jazz or dance music, you can find a wide variety of atmospheric bars and lounge cafes that stay open until late. DAILY ITINERARY

DAY 1
BOAT FROM PIRAEUS
Depart from Piraeus Port by boat and head to the beautiful island of Crete and the intriguing town of Chania. Spend the night sailing across the Aegean sea and get prepared for a wonderful experience.

Day 2
ARRIVAL AT CHANIA
Arriving at Crete Island in Chania and check-in at your hotel. Leave the hotel for a morning walk in order to get to know Chania. See the Venetian harbour, the Lighthouse and the narrow streets of Chania. There you will find all kind of restaurants, shops which are standing one next to the other. You can find souvenir, leather, ceramic and local products shops. If you are interested in buying a traditional Cretan knife or just watch the making of it, there are the Knives shops. The Golden beach is the closest beach to Chania town in case you feel like going for an afternoon swim.
For dinner you can go at Semiramis restaurant for amazing dishes and a first acquaintance with the local cuisine. Afterwards if you feel like drinking some amazing cocktails go at Hippopotamus Bar-Restaurant which is in the harbour.

DAY 3
FALASARNA BEACH
Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel and get ready for a beach day at Chania’s best voted beach, Falassarna beach. It has been declared as one of the cleanest beaches in Greece. You will enjoy the crystal-blue waters of Falassarna for sure, there is a great food-canteen if you want to eat something or drink a cold beer.
Back to the hotel to change and get ready for a great dinner at Veneto restaurant. It is a beautiful, elegant restaurant in a 15th century venetian building, near the picturesque Venetian port of Chania. The dishes are imaginative and refreshing, with delicious, colourful and aromatic ingredients from Crete and Italy. After dinner get lost in the small alleys and enjoy some summer cocktails by Chania’s mixologists!

DAY 4
BOAT TRIP AT CHANIA – LAZARETA ISLAND – THODOROU ISLAND
The perfect Day for your First Boat Tour is here. Leave the hotel in the morning ready to explore Lazareta island and the protected Thodorou island by the sea. Discover Crete by water with this boat trip. You will be able to see the rare Cretan Kri-Kri goats that live on the island. Go snorkeling off the boat with provided equipment or swim and sunbathe.
When you return, we suggest you go for a nice lunch in one of the many taverns in Chania port. The first Mousaka of your Greek summer, would be a great option for a dish. After return at the hotel and relax. Later you can have a walk in the old harbour of Chania and have some light dinner and then try some drinks in one of the many bars of Chania’s town.

Day 5
elafonisi-beach
The day has arrived that you will see one of the most beautiful beaches of the island. Elafonisi beach is like paradise on earth with pink coral sand and crystalline waters. It can be reached by boat from Paleochora as the road leading there is track and difficult. You can enjoy great comfort food in in 2 food-canteens that are in the beach.
After spending half of your day on this amazing beach it’s time for you to relax at the hotel. For another amazing dinner you should go at the Lithos restaurant in the old harbour. You will enjoy pure local ingredients, fresh fish, local meat, vivid vegetables and a great variety of Greek wines. Wonder around Chania town and find another great bar to spend your last night in this wonderful place.

Day 6
CHANIA – AGIA MARINA BEACH – DEPARTURE
Today is your departure day from this beautiful island. We suggest you have a relaxed day at one of the closest beaches of Chania if you want to swim for a last time in these crystal blue waters. Agia Marina beach is one of the most important tourist resorts in Chania. It is a long and sandy beach with plenty of facilities including nice beach bars, small taverns and water-sports. There are also organized camping sites all along the coastline to the west, till Kissamos Town.
When you return, do not miss the chance to admire the amazing sunset. Chania’s old Venetian Harbour provides an unforgettable sunset views of the town and surrounding sea. You could also have a nice last walk around the old harbour and do some last shopping. Check out from the hotel and then get to the port and sail back to Piraeus.

PIRAEUS PORT
